How To Avoid A Late Fee

To avoid a late fee, payments are due in the administrative office by 3pm on the 27th of the month.  Should the 27th fall on a weekend or holiday.  Please pay by the last business day prior.

Our billing system will automatically generate a late penalty for payments received after 3pm on the 27th and you will be responsible to pay the fee. 

The Lewes BPW does check the silver drop box at 3pm on the 27th of the month as long as it is a business day. 

If you would like to take advantage of our payment portal , which allows you to pay your bill, view the past 24 months of bills and history, contact the business office at 302-645-6228 or email us at: info@lewesbpw.com.

With our Automatic Bank Draft or Credit Card Authorization program, you don’t have to worry about writing a check and sending your payment to us every month. This convenient program automatically drafts your payment from your checking, savings or credit card account. You save time and the cost of stamps and checks needed to pay your bill. Customers with accounts in good standing are eligible, including those on the Budget Billing Plan. Each month you will receive a message on your bill “please do not pay” and the amount we will be drafting from your account on the 22nd of the month, or the next business day if the due date is on a weekend or a holiday. When you see this message on your payment stub, you no longer need to write a check, or mail a payment – it will be taken care of automatically! You may discontinue your participation at any time by contacting the Business office.
